Test results are outstanding; products are superior and outperforming competitors. BarrierTech biocide bases are virtually colorless and odorless which makes them ideal for use in very clean environments e.g. clean manufacturing, food preparation, etc.  Both color and fragrance can be added for commercial effect if required or desired.

The products are non-flammable, non-corrosive, highly stable and non-hazardous which makes it easy to transport, store and dispose of.  No materials, hard or soft, are damaged by contact with BarrierTech.  The product Material Safety Data Sheet gives it a non-hazardous rating.

BarrierTech can safely be used by humans.  Because of the exceptionally low cytotoxicity, BarrierTech conform to Cosmetics Directives.  The product can therefore be used safely in skin sanitizing products and cosmetics.  It represents a viable alternative to alcohol and oxidizer based sanitizing products commonly used in medical and other clean environments, with the advantage that it tends to condition, rather than damage the skin.  Further testing is required to assess BarrierTech’s potential for use in more invasive medical applications.

Its bonding characteristics make it ideal as a component of active filters, for instance those used in many bio-technology fields as well as simple air or water conditioning filter units.

Shelf life is generally 2 years or more.

Due to the ultra-low concentration needed of active ingredients, most products are cost effective alternatives.  Supplies are assured with normal lead time representative for the general market.

The main formulations are:

• MF-barrier (multiple biocide formulation – basis for surface sanitation, cooling tower, hand sanitizer, potable drinking water systems)
• PowerPrep (degreaser)
